Zcash payment gateway
Shieldz is a non-custodial Zcash payment gateway. It lets a merchant accept shielded Zcash (ZEC) straight to their own Unified Address, watching the chain with a view-only key while the spending key never leaves you. $0 platform fee, no KYC to start.
Shielded, to your own Unified Address
You give Shieldz a Zcash Unified Full Viewing Key (UFVK). It watches for shielded z-to-z payments to your Unified Address (Orchard and Sapling), confirms them, and fires a signed webhook. It can see that you were paid, but it can never spend, freeze, or move your funds. Payments settle to an address you alone control, verify the derivation yourself.
What a shielded Zcash merchant needs, answered
- Unified Address / Orchard: yes, payments land on your own UA (Orchard/Sapling).
- z-to-z shielded payments: watched via your UFVK, not transparent-only.
- API and webhooks: a clean REST API and HMAC-signed webhooks with replay protection.
- Fees: $0 platform fee, you pay only the network fee.
- Key control: non-custodial, the spending key stays with you, only a viewing key is shared.
- Open source: the key-derivation is open and auditable at /verify.
Not Zcash-only
Unlike a Zcash-only tool, Shieldz also accepts Bitcoin, USDC and USDT across five chains, so you can offer private ZEC alongside mainstream options. Compare Shieldz to ZGo, the original Zcash-native gateway.
Integrate as a ZEC payment processor
Create an invoice over the REST API, send the buyer a hosted pay_url, and reconcile with a signed webhook. Official SDKs for Node, Python, Rust and PHP, plus an MCP server. Read how to accept Zcash.
