No KYC to start
Shieldz never holds or transmits your funds, so there's no custodial account to verify. You can create invoices and get paid without uploading documents.
Why Shieldz doesn't gate you behind KYC
Identity verification exists where a company takes custody of money — it holds a balance, moves funds on your behalf, or acts as a money transmitter. Shieldz does none of that. Payments go straight from your buyer's wallet to yours; Shieldz only watches the blockchain and notifies you. There's no balance, no transfer, and no account holding value — so there's nothing to onboard you into.
What "no KYC to start" means
You can sign up and accept payments without identity checks. You remain responsible for your own legal and tax compliance in your jurisdiction — Shieldz is a tool, not your compliance department. Your buyers don't need an account or to prove identity either.
Privacy by default
Buyers pay from any wallet they already use, and we don't collect their identity. For fully private receipts, Shieldz supports shielded Zcash, where amounts and addresses stay off the public ledger.
Non-custodial is the point
The same thing that removes KYC removes counterparty risk: Shieldz can't freeze your account, reverse a payment, or lose your funds in a hack — because it never holds them. How it works →
