Last updated: V1 launch.
Shieldz is a payment routing and event notification service. We provide invoicing, quote generation against the LeoKit aggregator, swap status observation, and HMAC-signed webhook delivery. We do not custody funds. We do not exchange or convert currencies on our own balance sheet. We do not match trades. The actual swap execution is performed by MAYAChain, an independent decentralized cross-chain protocol.
You are responsible for: providing a valid USDC settlement address you control, complying with any laws applicable to your business or jurisdiction, refunding customers out of your own funds if you choose to honor refunds (Shieldz does not process refunds for V1), and securing your API keys and webhook signing secrets.
Buyers are responsible for providing a valid Zcash transparent refund address before generating a quote. If the swap fails for any reason and the buyer did not provide a valid refund address, the ZEC may be lost — Shieldz cannot recover it.
Shieldz provides the routing and notification infrastructure as-is. We are not liable for: MAYAChain halt windows or pool liquidity issues, USDC sent to an incorrect settlement address provided by the merchant, network congestion delays on the destination chain, or losses arising from a merchant's failure to verify webhook signatures correctly.
Shieldz takes a routing fee of 0.75% (75 basis points) of the swap amount, deducted from the gross USDC delivered to the merchant. This rate may change with 30 days' notice via the dashboard.
