Because Shieldz is non-custodial, it never holds your money — there's no balance to skim, no payout to delay, no float to earn on. So we don't make money on your transactions. Instead, free accounts show one brief sponsored card on the checkout's "payment confirmed" screen while the buyer waits for the network to settle. That covers our servers and blockchain nodes.

Want a completely clean, unbranded checkout with no sponsored card? Pro removes ads for $99/year. Everything else is identical — same $0 fees, same non-custodial settlement. Most small merchants never need it; it exists so larger merchants who want a white-label checkout help fund the free tier for everyone else.
